According to the American Red Cross, you and your family have about two minutes to get out of your home. The American Red Cross also provides the tips below to help you have a conversation with your family about fire prevention and safety.
If a fire occurs in your home, GET OUT, STAY OUT and CALL FOR HELP. Never go back inside for anything or anyone.
Talk with all family members about a fire escape plan and practice the plan twice a year.
Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside bedrooms and outside sleeping areas.
